Volunteer Policy & Information

The Yale Area Football League is a non-profit organization which depends upon volunteers to function successfully. Thanks to those who give generously of their time, the YAFL has become one of the largest, and arguably, most successful youth sports clubs in our area.

Together with registration fees, families are asked to pay a $50 volunteer fee per child. Families have three options regarding their volunteer fee:

  • Volunteer Option: Anyone over the age of 16 years of age may volunteer for one of the various volunteer jobs that are posted in the volunteer program link found below. The entire $50 volunteer fee can be earned back by completing one  YAFL approved volunteer job. Examples of jobs include: 2-3 hour shift at picture day, combine, equipment returns, year end celebration, homecoming parade etc. Please click the link below for to see a complete list of YAFL approved volunteer jobs and their descriptions. • Coaching/Team Parent option: Volunteer to be a coach, assistant coach or team parent. No coaching experience is required. Please contact YAFL at

  • Donation Option: Donate their fee to the YAFL.
